Hiking along the cliffs on the Scottish island of Westray, you'll eventually see the tower of the Noup Head lighthouse.
This highly recommended hike starts at Backarass. From there, head towards the coast (the path is signposted). After a while you reach the point of Monivey where the impressive cliffs begin and you discover, depending on the season thousands of birds nesting in the high cliffs. A spectacular experience. After about an hour, the tower of the Noup Head lighthouse comes into view. A wonderful sight, like something from another world, like the whole island.
